Consultation

Many thanks to eveyone who completed our survey

We have submitted a bid for an Enhancing Pembrokeshire Grant (second homes premium) to hack off and re-render the deteriorating sections of the front wall of Foundry House. Enhancing Pembrokeshire grant applications require evidence of consultation with the local community. Accordingly, we distributed a short questionnaire. We believe the responses we have recieved to support our bid will have a significant positive influence whether or not our bid is successful – fingers crossed

We made our bid on the grounds that:

1) Pembroke 21C Community Association addresses negative impacts of second home ownership by providing activities which enhance community cohesion, reduce social isolation and promote individual wellbeing.

2) The deterioration of the front walls of Foundry House threatens the structural integrity of the building and puts people off booking rooms and attending activities at Foundry House. Unless the walls are repaired, the consequent loss of income from bookings at Foundry House will eventually present an existential threat to Pembroke 21C Community Association ltd and thus to Foundry House, St Oswald’s Community Garden and the Holyland Wood Nature Reserve.
